WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME:
- Clear instructions! No guesswork. Sure we’ll improv a bit on set, but it’s my goal to make sure you know exactly where to go, what to where, when to be there, and anything else to make sure the logistics are taken care of and you can just show up and have fun!
- My shoots are pretty informal and conversational. I’ll have you strike a goofy pose or two at the beginning so you can get the nerves out of the way and we can capture the authentic you.
- Quick turnaround times. I love what I do. You can’t keep me away from it.
- Openeness and communication. I appreciate client feedback and aim to get you the exact photos/videos you envision (if not better!).
Hi.
My name is Doug, or Douglas if you’re feeling fancy.
Storytelling is my bread and butter. My go-to. My meat and potatoes. It’s been my life’s work. It’s like oxygen to me.
I’ve been a videographer/photographer for many many many a moon now. I’ve done corporate and brand videography, screenwriting for TV production staffs, sports photography, live-event multi-camera mixing and producing, script writing for commercial voiceover, influencer photography, headshots, and for the last seven years I have been the Audio-Visual / Television / Live Events instructor as well as producer/director/cinematographer/photographer at Lake Travis High school.
Put any camera in my hands and I’ll be able to use it to capture beautiful images before you can pick out a frame.
Of course, visual storytelling is about more than just making a nice image. It’s about capturing the perfectly imperfect moment between a parent and a child or the love between husband and wife. It’s about finding a soon-to-be graduate’s identity and potential. It’s about making sure the photos of your house sell the warmth and memories of the home you’ve created there. It’s about helping brave entrepreneurs to create a brand that stands for them.
Six Trees is about helping people find the difference in the things that matter. Memories. Family. Home. Brand. Helping you with your why matters to me - that’s my why.
